Fort Hancock 1943 Christmas

The Army Ground Forces Association (AGFA) invites you to a "Fort Hancock 1943 Christmas" at History House. Experience an Officer's house as it would have looked in 1943, and learn about how soldiers, sergeants, officers, and their families celebrated Christmas at Fort Hancock in 1943 during the largest global conflict in history. Hot cider and coffee will be available for visitors.

History House will be open Saturday December 14 and Sunday December 15 from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day.

On Saturday, December 14 Battery Gunnison/New Battery Peck will be open from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM. During this time, visitors will be able to access the interior of the Battery and learn about the various systems and components that have been restored to functional condition. Gun #2 (the northern gun) will be open and visitors will have the opportunity to learn how it operates and experience operating the gun with assistance from AGFA members.

History House Address: 1 Heartshorne Drive, Fort Hancock, NJ 07732
