These videos were taken on the Coast Defense/Ocean Fun Days weekend of 17-19 May 2024. They represent the essential completion and functionality of the two M1900 6-inch guns and the operation of Shell Hoist #1.
This view shows both guns traversing from centerline to the field of fire and elevating the guns from 0 to 20 degrees. The total time to do this is about 25 seconds. This view is from Gun #2 which is the north gun emplacement. This is the first time these guns have operated together since 1949.

This loading drill conducted wearing gas mask includes most all key component actions to fire the guns (minus real powder and using a drill shell that weighs 25 lbs vs the 108 lbs of an AP shell. This drill was conducted in under 14 seconds - the standard is 15 seconds. The drill was completed before the Time Interval Bell struck - which typically starts at 14 seconds.
This video shows Shell Hoist #1 delivering a shell to the top of the shell receiving table. The wooden table is temporary pending concrete rehabilitation which will occur around 2026/7 time frame.
This video shows the shell hoist being operated and raising a drill shell to the top receiving table. The hoist was restored in 2015-2021 and is now fully functional.
