A living history event was condcuted at Fort Hancock, NJ on April 27, 2003 by
Mike Murray, Jonathon Prostack, and Andy Grant. They were dressed as members
of the Coast Artillery units that manned Battery New Peck in during World War
2.
Displays included an azimuth instrument, ammunition (including a 10-inch round and powder bag, along with a 90 mm practice dummy), loading equipment for one of the 6-inch guns of Battery New Peck, and several items related to the gun, including a optical sight. Approximately 200 people visited Battery New Peck during the event, leaving better informed about the history of Fort Hancock and the Coast Artillery.
